Motor Disconnect

I have a 2hp 208/1 sewage ejection pump. In lieu of a motor rated disconnecting means. Any reason I can you a lockable MCCB in the panel?

Iieu meaning no disco at motor? Regardless of code, (which is a great requirement) you will always sooner or later be very glad there was a shutoff at motor...

We always use the exception to 430.102(B) to eliminate the local disconnect at motors for our industrial projects.

While the first part of the exception would permit you to locate the disconnect outside of the sump pit, I am not sure this installation would qualify for a remote lockable disconnect like our industrial projects do.

IMO, there is no applicable exception to the required disconnect in sight from the motor.
