Given a motor feeder circuit breaker (motor branch-circuit short-circuit and ground-fault protection) with a 120VAC shunt trip coil.

Is the shunt trip circuit subject to 430.75.

Part of me says "of course". The other guy ;) says "no, the motor control circuit controls the motor controller, and the breaker is not part of the controller or motor control circuit."

If 430.75 does not require a disconnect for the shunt trip wiring, what NEC sections do?

Isn't a shunt trip coil normally on a separate voltage(ie: load shedding logic, etc) from the motor control voltage,,,,,,,the way I read it both are required to be diconnected but I won't bet on it,,,,,,,,,,,,the first part reads disconnects the controller( does a combination motor starter have a shunt trip feature or do they mean a remote feeder breaker) and the second part says the motor control circuits from its power supply,,,,kinda confusing as the CPT might be considered to be the source for the motor control circuit,,,,,,,,,,I'm rambling, somebody jump in here and straighten this mess out:D
