I have around 300 motor JBs on a construction project that may or may not require reducers to accept the designated cable glands. I've measured everyone of them and some of the time I get a measurement that Crouse Hinds doesn't make, the only accepted vendor. I've used calipers and a ruler with the same result. For example, 4.5 inch to 3 inch. Crouse Hinds only makes a 4 to 3 inch for my application.
It's a simple problem that has me frustrated and is going to make me look very bad when I order 100 wrong reducers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you mean threaded bushings. A 4" rigid or IMC will measure 4.5" outside, so that's about what you should see in your measurement.

does it bother anyone else that someone who is going to be doing this kind of work does not understand something this basic?
