I've asked questions similar to this before, but I am now trying to drill down a little bit further towards a complete understanding.
If I have a machine that has two 20HP refrigeration compressors, would the installer want to know that there are two compressors at 20HP? If there is a separate condenser fan tied tied to the operation of the compressor, would I add its HP and FLA to the largest motor HP and RLA? Or would I need to itemize it?
Would they want to know the RLA of the compressor or the actual maximum running current of the compressor?
Would telling them the largest motor HP is 20HP with an RLA of 30A be enough? Or, would they need to know that they have two motors with 20HP (so two "largest motors") both of which are rated for 30A, but one of which may draw 38A at times...
