Is thier a code reference that tells you about changing phase rotation for single and three phase motors. A freind asked me because he said that it was on the test. It dosent sound like something that would be concerned with code because its not a safety concern. I would think if it was on the test and they asked for a code reference then their would be one.

But in this area the test includes question not based on the NEC, they call that section the 'practical'. On mine I remember they asked how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, what is the synchronous speed of a motor based on frequency and poles etc.

I remember that question being on my journeyman exam.
EDIT: The changing phase rotation question. I don't recall any questions dealing with converting Celsius to Fahrenheit on the one I took.
