Motor Terminations

We are designing a batch oven with a recirculation motor that is single phase and protected on the secondary side of the control transformer. This motor has "open" leads and is not enclosed. It also is exposed on the top of the oven. I could not find anything in NEC about protecting these open wires. There is no junction box attached to the motor. Do you know if it is against code to just use zip ties and a strain relief fitting to a juction box for terminations of this motor?

Internal wiring Ovens

The NEC does not deal with the internal working or the equipment and or device. The UL might be well interested about the whole assembly if submitted. Here's what they look at Appliances. Other things UL, UL

The wiring methods will also be reviewed then. How the motor or the terminations connections are layed out, etc, etc; but it's still not up to the NEC or Us, we just get to size it and hook it up!

Beside that most of the pieces that make up the assembly has been tested in one way or another.
