motor wire splicing

is it permissible to splice motor power wirers in the control cabinet. Ifit is what type of splice is permissible and does it require any additional inslation?

Melouray, most likely yes. Please give a little more info, ie size conductors, mcc size and voltage, reason for need to splice, etc...
