First of all I want to say thank you to everyone for all the help you have given me. This definitely is the go to place when you get stuck. I currently have three questions I am stuck on. I will list them in different messages.
1. Is it legal to have more than one motor share branch overcurrent protection?
I believe the answer is yes but where do I find this in code. thanks in advance

Personally, I don't care for the term "overcurrent protection". Motors have "overload" protection and "short circuit/ground-fault" protection. If we equate overcurrent to overload the answer would be "yes" and found in Art 430 part III. 430.42 would be one reference.
If we equate overcurrent to ground-fault/short circuit protection the the answer is in Part IV. Again permissible under certain conditions such as noted in 430.53
