In some states I have noticed that a mounting bracket is used for risers up telephone poles. Is there a specific reason for using them?

My guess is they hold the riser to the pole.:grin:

Our POCO requires, and they are 12" long with 6" between the conduit and pole
Multiple conduits can be installed on the same standoffs
May be easier to climb the pole.
