Is their a specific mounting height requirement for a 100A fused disconnect switch feeding the primary of a transformer?

Has a requirement for the maximum height (6ft 7in), there is no minimum requirement.

Depends on where the transformer located.

If it is hung overhead for instance.

Pierre,i have always wondered why a max. height is given but not a min. But for a mobile home it is 24 ins. min.even more Allen

I agree with Websparky here, it depends on the location of the equipment being served.

404.8 Exception No. 2: Switches and circuit breakers installed adjacent to motors, appliances, or other equipment that they supply shall be permitted to be located higher than specified in the foregoing and to be accessible by portable means.
