mounting raceway on ductwork

We did an awsome job with the conduit work in this electric room.The HVAC installer came in behind us and installed the heating and cooling system for this room.The unit has a power venter enclosed in the ductwork which requires 24v to operate.They ran LFMC to the venter and attached the raceway and the junction box to the outside of the ductwork associated with the unit.To me this is a no-no but I cant provide a code reference to back it up.Does anyone have any input?

You can hang pipe from duct, but you can't hang duct from pipe.

There is a possible problem: in mounting his stuff to the duct he may have created leaks in the duct. If he then covers everything with that gray mastic they use, then the box will no longer be 'accessible,; as you won't be able to open it.
 
As long as the electrical stuff doesn't prevent access to the HVAC equipment access.




You know what I mean.
