Our salesman passed away last night from an apparent heart attack. When he did not show for work this morning or answer his cell phone, I decided to stop by his home and check on him on my way to the job site. I found him on the floor. EMT estimated his death some time last evening. He has never visited this site but enjoyed giving me a hard time about the amount of time I can spend here. He will be missed and the generator industry lost a good salesman. We will miss you John.

I found him on the floor.

I found my little brother dead on the floor about 14 years ago, same type of situation. It really changed my outlook on life. I don't plan as far in the future anymore. That year three people that I knew died and they were all under 40 years of age, one died on Christmas day.

You have my sympathy.

I am doing ok, thanks. It was tough. I talked to my dad a little while ago and he said this day will be with me for a long time. His health has been up and down, but it seemed to be on the upside and he was getting back to work pretty regularly. The prevailing thought is, unfortuneately, to now be familiar with the phrase, "He was just fine the last time I saw him." We all went home yesterday at closing with the final words of, "See ya in the morning."

Still to young. If you just need to talk we're here.

I think the thing about this forum is, we'll fight tooth and nail and knock each other down over a code question, but I think we'll hold each other up in a time of need.

It is so important never to leave on a sour note..you can stake faith in your memories of the good times and hold no regrets in your actions..I actually do have a firm grasp of your situation and can agree with your father..the main never will go away but with time you will learn to mask it..I shall be a shoulder anytime you need one..
