How far are you allowed to move the circuit without upgrading it?

I'd say that a junction box, more of the same kind of wire, and the same (or same kind of) receptacle does not constitute a new installation.
A new circuit, on the other hand, is a new installation, and requires the four-conductor cable, receptacle, and dryer cord. Length is not an issue

I agree with Larry. About size around here in the mountains our conversion chart is one inch equals six inches. Although Marine scale is like Texas everything is bigger.Semper FiDennis Alwon said:
