Electrical repairs here cost an average of $63.58 an hour, compared with a national average of $58.59 an hour

They might be surprised to know the hourly rates of a "flat rate" franchise.

I am guessing $200-$300.......right?

I like this quote from the article. They should put it up on a big sign in front of every Home Depot store. (that by a funny quirk are also owned by Clockworks.) ""If you screw up on a plumbing project, all you do is get wet; if you screw up with electricity, you get dead," Maisel said."

Electrical repairs here cost an average of $63.58 an hour, compared with a national average of $58.59 an hour, according to Xactware Inc., a Utah company that tracks the cost of home repairs nationwide for the insurance industry.

What they should have said is the cost to the guy performing the job an average of $63.58 an hour, and he works for free.....

In case there is a need to put the labor rates into perspective, I invite attention to the fact that the article is 28 months old.

I've seen it close to $300.00 by me. But I think the journalist might have seen what the average construction hourly rate was and mistakenly applied it to service work.

if you type in misterelectric.com you go to mrelectric.com now

the logo infringement looked like a bull**it accusation - they are different.

i can see their point about the website address though

I used to live in TX and we always got a kick out of Mr Electric. Wonder how much money they spend painting those vans?

I would bet that somewhere out there in the wide range of America there might be a local company that has been in business for some time that has a logo similar. If so I hope they have a copyright on it.
