I installed about 80 Halo low voltage H1499ICAT cans. Not even 6 months and lamps keep burning out thru out the home. Any suggestions on what could cause them from burning out so fast. Some are on dimmers and others just switches. Going there Wednesday to try to figure out. May be a voltage issue.

May want to consider an LED lamp option. Check all connections first.

So I went back to the home and took volt reading. Found the voltage coming in, at the panel was 127.8 volts on one leg and 127.2 volts on the other leg. Line to line was over 250 volts. The basement cans were reading 13 volts on the transformer side. The first floor readings were a little lower, I guess because of the voltage drop on the length of the runs. The other problem that I seen was the lenses on the trims were foggy and had a lot of dust on them. So I think it is the combination of the two that keep blowing the lamps frequently.
