equipment is set on ground level so any conduit run underground for this area has to be RMC by nec, 517. Comments appreciated
 
Not necessarily, Normal Power feeders would not have to be and Critical Branch feeders if protected as spelled out in 517.30(C)(3) wouldn't have to be either.

Branch circuits would need to be in a metallic raceway recognized as an EGC in 250.118.
