Hello All,
We are in process to install a 1200A, 208/120, 3ph, 4 wire main switch board in the garage basement. (4) 5" DB-120 Service ducts enters the drip loop sect. at the top portion of back wall, and all other structure ( UPS, Main CB, tenant meter/main) are in L shape configuration. The back of all free-standing cabinets sets against 8" concrete wall.
For this type of installation;
Q.#1) Would you sleeve for all 5" ducts with 6" ducts? or would you block an area (like 12" by 36") for later running the ducts later?
NOTE: Please keep water proofing in mind for Q.#1.
Knowing that side cover and back cover of free-standing sw-boards are normally made of 2 or 3 pieces relating to Q. #2;
Q.#2) Would you punch wholes for ducts through the back cover of drip loop, set your drip loop sect. and run the 5" ducts through the sleeves or opennig in the wall and attach ducts to the cabinet with pipe connectors?
OR, would you just remove one piece of the cabinet's back wall cover (no need for punching whole)(exposed to concrete wall) and glue bell-end?
I like to see what kid of responses comes this way. BTW, Thank you for your reply.
