Have fixture with multi tap ballast being fed from 120/208v panel. They want circuits swung over to a 277/480v panel. Would we have to change the wiring at the ballast to another input/tap on the ballast for the higher voltage? Thanks

Some multi-voltage ballasts will automatically adapt to the applied voltage, but some are reported not to ever work again on a lower voltage after they have been placed on a higher voltage circuit.

If there are physical taps or tap wires, then it should be able to be converted in either direction by rewiring the tap connection(s).

Thanks. Someone told me that electronic ballast only have 2 leads so why or how could you rewire? Not necessary.
