mud room receps

I have a house that has a mud room off of the garage. There is NO laundry equipment in this room. Do the receps in this room need to be on a 15 or 20 amp circuit? Location of the code would be sufficient as I can not find it.

You can serve the recpetalce sin that room on either one. The only locations in a dwelling that require 20-ampere branch circuits are the two small appliance, the bathroom receptacles, and the required laudry receptacle. All other areas are per your design.

It might also be a good idea, but not required to put these on a GFCI. Just the name of this room suggests that wet, muddy and in general clothes that can't come into the house will be found here. I have such a room and found a really neat boot dryer for all of those days here in Indiana it is nasty outside. That is every day in recent memory by the way.
