I have an application where there will be 6 #2 SE cables installed in a chase. I am trying to find the minimum spacing between cables. 310.15(B)(3)(a) lists the adjustment factors where multiconductor cables are installed without maintaining spacing for a continuous length longer than 24". what I am having trouble finding is what is the "spacing" that will not require a derating of the cable? Thanks for your help.

I'd have to say it is totally up to AHJ discretion, more details on this chase may be the deciding factor.

A "chase" could be anything with a hollow space in which the cables are installed - pull same cables in a pipe or tube and AHJ may claim you have bundled them, yet this chase could have similar cross sectional area to that pipe/tube and he may not say anything because it is constructed differently.
