I have a 12/3 NM cable running from main panel powering two garage door openers drawing less than 9 amps combined. Only the black and neutral wires are being used. Red is terminated in the panel and in the outlet box (tested and verified). Is it permissible to tie the red into another 20 amp circuit breaker located next to the other on the MWBC which puts it on a different phase and pigtail the neutral prior to first load so it is shared with the existing garage door openers and a new circuit feeding a needed bathroom gfci outlet? The garage is located on opposite side of house with finished basement. Thanks.
