The term "multiconductor" is generally associated with cable systems. A multiconductor cable consists of a number of indivdually insulated wires, either solid or stranded, which may or may not be grouped together within an outer covering.

Multi-conductor cable= A cable system with more than one insulated wire in it,

A cable system with two or more Insulated wires that have an overall outer insulated sleeve.
