In the Optional calculation for multi-family dwelling, one of the requirements is the following:
NEC220.32(A)(2) Each dwelling unit is equiped with electric cooking equipment.
(1) When the unit has a gas range and an electric oven. Is the Electric Oven considered electric cooking equipment?
(2) In the calculation, do I enter only the KW load of the Oven? or do I have to use the 8 KW load estipulated in the "exception" of this section when there is no electric cooking equipment?
Thank you fr any help.

(1) The oven is electric cooking equipment. Although I agree there is a grey area in the application, I'd say it's OK and apply the optional method.
(2) If you determine that the oven is electric cooking equipment, you'd have to use the nameplate rating of the oven to be consistent. I'd see no problem with that.
