Latest issue of EC&M (Feb 2022) has an Article How to Use a Multimeters Effectively, and this picture, note the following
1. Large metal watch on left hand
2. Taped up black lead on meter
3. User should hang the meter or use a stand and not hold the meter with one hand and leads (both) in the other.

Illustration of what not to do. But I've been on jobsite and seen it. Usual excuse "it's only 120/240, what can happen?".

I didn’t see that picture in the online article, must have missed it.
The 2003 article may have had it…

I had a rectangular shaped Simpson digital meter with the readout on the top. The carrying case has a strap so you could put it around your neck, and be able to look down as see the screen, keeping both hands free for the probes. I really liked it for trouble shooting work.
