Have a situation where there is a four unit apartment and I can't get straight in my mind how to work the impact to the feeder using Table 220.55.

Let's say I have four units - one in each apartment with the following ratiing: 9KW, 10KW, 11KW, 12KW.

Now, due to the various columns, and again trying to get the overall thing straight - allow me to lay out another scenario: 9KW, 10KW, 7KW, 11KW

Oh - and one more to get a situation where it's over Column C's max of 12KW: 7KW, 9KW, 12KW, 15KW

Thanks

Brett

Go ahead and try working it out and we can go over it. (Make sure to read the part in parenthesis.)

Re: Multiple electric ranges in multi-family

I'll take a stab at this one!
Scenario #1: Column C for (4) appliances use 17KW

Scenario #2: Column C for (3) appliances = 14KW plus 50% of 7KW (4th appliance)(per note 3) for a total of 14KW+0.5*7KW = 17.5KW.

Scenario #3: Per note 2 add 9KW+12KW+15KW and divide by 3 to get 12 KW. Use column C for (3) appliances = 14KW plus 50% of 7KW for appliance #4 = 17.5KW

Is this the correct way to use the table???
