Multiple grounding conductors under one Mechanical Lug

Here is my question: We are currently installing MCHL type cable manufactured by Okonite, and this cable typically has three grounding conductors. Our issue is being able to combine these grounding conductors under one mechanical lug or a single hole crimp lug? Is there a code or a manufacture allowance to facilitate this installation?

Some mechanical lugs are rated for 2 or 3 of the same size. I've yet to see a crimp terminal that permits more than 2 of the same size.

I think your cable has a bare, green, and green/yellow stripe. Why not just pick one and go with it?

James.... see NEC section 110.14(A) last sentence. Terminals for more than one conductor and terminals to connect aluminum shall be so identified. As Marc pretty much mentioned. And Big Blues are great. educate me. Why does this cable have 3 egcs? is it for IG? are they all the same AWG? Is it home Run cable multiple circuits? Just curious.

It has one EGC that is split into 3 sections, I imagine it is done to make the cable smaller.

Bob, Brian....interesting I have never seen this type of cable. Well I have now. I read the applications and don't want to get the thread of track, but in field terminology/applications, what would one use it for?

It looks like I could use it for pretty much anything.

I have not used this product but I have often run standard MC for large feeders, I have run a lot of 4/0 MC and the company has run a lot of 500 Kcmil MC.

This product seems to take it further, I could direct bury it or run it in hazardous atmospheres.

Field name (at least around here) is Interlock, used for feeders. I have seen quite a bit in Arlington VA, mostly for jobs completed in the 70's.

Looks like a PIA to install. But in comparison to EMT and pulling feeders it might be a money saver?

For what purpose are you installing this cable? What is the use going to be?
