I have a question regarding the NEC code. Can you have multiple ground wires on the one terminal? We have some old custom made breaker boxes with
receptacles inside of the enclosure that have two or three ground wires sharing the same (one) screw terminal block. I looked through the NEC code 2002 book but did not find the answers to my question. I would appreciate you help in finding the NEC code that approves this type of installation. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

Re: Multiple Grounds Sharing Terminal

Only if the ground bar is listed for such. For example when you purchase a Square D ground bar kit it comes with a sticker to attach to the panel that says you can place two #14 or two #12 wires in the same hole. Both wires have to be the same size.

Unless the panel you have is listed for this, I would correct it.
