hi, i'm just wondering if you can advise why i can't have 2 services in 1 building. this building is just a small one about 75% of the area is a fire pump rm where the service 1 of 2 is and a 25% of the area with own walls and door is pool pump rm which is service 2 of 2. both service were red from 1 utility transformer. both services are 120/208 3phase. thanks

You can have these 2 services. And the service disconnects can not be grouped as one is for a fire pump.

i have a separate meter for the fire pump panel. fire pump panel feeds fire pump control panel (fire pump is diesel), jockey pump control panel and jockey pump, fire pump rm lights and receptacles. the fire pump utility meter is inside the fire pump rm. the pool meter is inside the pool pump rm. inspector is saying nec 230.2 doesn't allow 2 services. i see an exception in 230.2 (A)(1) though...

I may have overlooked it but I don't think a diesel pump qualifies as for a separate service). I would agree with the inspector.

I agree. I don't think the OP said this in the first post. Of course I was assuming an electric drive pump in my answer.
