Greetings,

When running several sets of cables per phase from a paralleling gear to MCCs, is the typical practice to also run multiple ground conductors to match the quantity of phase conductors?

Thanks,
EE

If the sets are in separate conduits, every conduit must contain a ground sufficient for the entire value of the OCPD protecting the conductors.

If you’re running parallel cables in cable tray, I believe in 2017 it became acceptable to run a single full size EGC

I think so too. It is certainly possible that if the EGC is sized to a lower ampacity than the phase conductors it may be practical to run it as a single cable instead of a pair or set.
