Guys
Can someone tell me if when an MV Shielded MC cable is terminated are the shield foils brought out and tied to ground at both switchgear and transformer/motor or are they only tied down on one end i.e. the switchgear end.
Also does the NEC allow a MV MC cable to be terminated in a transformer termination box without using a gland as long as the interlocked armour is grounded at both ends.
Advice on these two points would be gratefully accepted.

1./ Both ends.
2./ The method of entry should be by a means that is designed and aprpoved for the purpose. Grounding the MC sheeting falls under the general philosphy of the NEC - basically - anything that houses, contains, routes electrical material to be bonded to grounding.
