Hi All,
Has anyone done an installation or have experience with connecting medium voltage cabling within fire rated conduit over a seismic joint within a structure.
I have ruled out expansion joints as the conduit could potentially move 3" in any direction.
I am assuming there is a need to provide a junction/pull box at either side of the seismic joint. Then provide flexible fire rated conduit with cable slack between the junction boxes to allow for any movement. Or am I over thinking this and all that is required is a flexible section across building expansion?
Thanks in advance.
