I don't know if this is the place but maybe I can get some advice. I put in two piers at the end of my driveway that will have lights in them. They will be fed from the panel in my garage. Then one side is fine as I can run it down the bed right along the driveway and into the garage. The one on the other side is a problem as I have to get across the driveway and lawn( which is only about 10x15). Someone mentioned there is something that "shoots" under the ground that will(i guess) help run the pipe. I don't know how to get this pipe to the garage panel which about 40' away depending on path taken.

Thanks very much.

I have seen a tool that you attach to the end of a pipe, and then attach the pipe to a garden hose, it sprays a jet of water that bores a hole for you to push the pipe through, another way would be to dig a trench and hammer a a section of pipe under the drive, and then couple on another section and keep hammering away until you reach the other side.

For a sidewalk or a not-too-wide driveway, I have used (sacrificed, really) a 4' or 6' flex-bit (and extension if needed) for boring a hole and pulling in a UF cable.

just dig a ditch accross your driveway. tell your wife she goes too fast and you are making a speed bump

Go to Lowe's and look in the irrigation section. Orbit makes a "Walkway Tunnel Kit" and Lowe's sells it. I have a spare in my hand, and it is model #53333 for 3/4 or 1 inch pipe (will do others with adapters).

Have you ever used it or do you own one?

the telephone company replaced the line to my house about two weeks ago, and used a borzit to go under the driveway.

the soil there is relatively hard, and they didn't have much of a problem. they spent about an hour working on that part; the driveway is 12' across.
