For the purpose of this Code and unless otherwise indicated, the term mobile home includes manufactured homes.
550.32 Service Equipment.
(A) Mobile Home Service Equipment.
(B) Manufactured Home Service Equipment.
(D) Additional Outside Electrical Equipment. Means for connecting a mobile home accessory building or structure or additional electrical equipment located outside a mobile home by a fixed wiring method shall be provided in either the mobile home service equipment or the local external disconnecting means permitted in 550.32(A).
A lot of manufactured homes in this area are set over full basements
The service equipment is installed in the basement just like any other single family dwelling. These are usually though not all the time supplied from a utility lateral to a meter service entrance into the service disconnect just like any other dwelling
I have never required an outside panel in this arrangement.
That may very well have been an oversight on my part.
How do you guys normally handle this.
