this was an emergency panel fed from our generator and out to three transfer switches what a nightmare. i had 3 sets of 900 kcmil 1 set of 750 kcnil and four sets of 500 kcmil and the little ones cant remember. this panel was only 12 inches deep. the dead front barley fit on.

900 Kcmil aluminum? None of those look big enough to be 900 Kcmil, but it could just be the size of the image.

Looks like a piece of gear would have been a better choice. I'd have to say this is a very poor design, but I'm guessing you were very limited on space.

ya it was tough. the reason they dont look like 900 is cause they are compact aluminum thhn its pretty much the same size of a 750 copper. this electric room has this panel and to the right is the 1200 amp transfer switch then to the right another 1200 a panel same as the one in the pic. on the opposite wall there was the 400 a transfer switch with 400 amp panel and a 100 transfer switch and panel aaannnnddddd two more 100 life safety panels and a transformer hanging above them all in a 12 by 14 room with two doors

Very nice work. Thank you for posting the pic and caption. It would be nice to see some reference in the picture for perspective, like a cordless drill or the crimper you used on the macadapts. Those are macadapts, right?

yes they are mac adapters. the ones for the 900s where 47 dollars a piece. and the lugs on the 1200a breaker where staggered so each mac adapt had to be crimped in a certain spot.

I give this an A+ perfect.
