Hi,

Can any one tell me what the symbols in the red triangle are? What type of breaker are these? or does this simply indicate a terminal?

Who developed the drawing? Did it come from a manufacturer? There is no "official" symbol for a terminal or node and you sometimes see manufacturers stray away from what is common, especially in other countries. My best guess is that it represents a connection point, where a wire or device can be terminated or removed as required.

I would agree. It looks like a terminal or lug. One for the ground, one for the neutral, and one on each side of each pole of the breaker.

Edit: It could also indicate field wiring terminations provided by the electrical contractor. On drawings from equipment suppliers, its common to denote the difference between wiring and terminations provided with the equipment, and items the EC provides. If these are factory or shop drawings, look on the drawings for a legend or symbol key.

Thanks everyone.

This is a detail of a 400 Hz service bay power supply unit for the cord & plug assembly to be connected to. It was provided as part of the RFP package.
