N.M. or M.C ?

There is a fellow who has built a small laundry mat and he hired someone to wire it. The electrician wired it in N.M. cable the dryers are gas would the N.M. cable pass NEC in this application? or would he need to change to M.C.?:confused:

If the NM is concealed in a wall with a 15 minute fire rating, then it would be legal

To be legal it must be permitted by 334.10(3) Types III, IV, and V construction. I would ask the building inspection department as to how they see this construction.
