Hi, Just joined the forum in the hope of getting an answer to my problem. Im working on an old home that has studs that are a full 2 inch by 4 inch. Nail plates wont cover the whole face, the spike prongs wont hit the wood if I turn them horizontally, and to double up on each stud one plate has to partially lay on top of the other plate making for a bulge in sheetrock. I cant seem to find a wider plate, They all seem to be 1-1/2 wide. Any suggestions? Thanks!
