Name for This?

What do some of you call this piece? It is imprinted with JBA, undoubtedly meaning junction box adaptor. I have heard that name, terminal adaptor and sometimes push penny. I have never sent out for them and been sent the right thing. Most houses send male adaptors. They also go by terminal adaptor.

Well look at the printing around the edge. If it says 2 to 1-1/4 it's a reducer. We can't read it from here.

In plumbing it fits into a "socket", i.e. typical fitting hole sized to accept the pipe. Of course calling it a socket in electrical work would really confuse the supply house.

If I call it a PVC chase nipple then what is pictured is what they typically would give me. I think product catalogs usually call them box adapters though.

As long as it works. But unfortunately there are real pvc chase nipples.

Fits a coupling too, I have to use them that way a lot. Also use them on LBs.
And we call them box adapters as well.

Thanks all of you. I have always liked these since I first saw them. Low profile, smooth edge, easy to add to existing installs, etc. But I have to be at the counter to get the right thing. No matter what I call it, clerk will bring out something different.
