Beginning this month, a new, nationwide phone number went into effect replacing 62 separate phone numbers to obtain underground utility locations.
The new number is 811
Nicknamed "Miss Utility" or "one call" by many jurisdictions, dialing 811 from anywhere in the USA will route your call to the nearest call center to request underground utility lines be marked prior to digging.
