This addition would prevent the connection of the grounded multiwire conductor to a non-multiwire
circuit conductor.

No rule ever prevents anything.

There is ZERO evidence of a problem that needs to be solved by such an expensive proposal.

It remains my opinion that there is no change this rule would ever be accepted in that code section as has only to do with the identification of a conductor as a grounded conductor and not the specific function of that grounded conductor.

My proposal was written to only target residential wiring, where the majority of the wiring mistakes occur.
I see you've not done much commercial or industrial work.

Regardless, as I said in the other thread it is unnecessary to add any more rules to accommodate the idiots or incompetent
people.

Plus the only real winners would be wire manufacturers.
