If a panelboard is mounted adjacent to a 36 inch wide door, may the width of the door be considered as part of the working space??

Hmm, this would be call for the AHJ. I would call it based on how the door swings.

I know this door swing next to, in front of, and across from panels has been debated before.

Just thought of something!
I always used 110.31(A) condition 3, to install opposing panels.
These panels sometimes have doors that enter into the other panel 36" space. I don't have a problem with door swings entering this space.
