We are trying to replace existing main electrical switchboard (1,600A, 208/3PH, main service swbd, 7 feet wide)
with new one, same rating and similar physical size. The switchboard is located inside mechanical room.
The room has only one double door open out. Per NEC 110.26.C(2), if this is an electrical room,
(2) doors are required based on panel rating and width or double clearance is met (it does not meet either rules).
Will same rule apply to this mech. room or can be voided as grandfather space even we replace the switchboard?
