7. 210.12(B) ? This section provides updates to AFCI requirements in dwellings and provides new exceptions. Sections 760.21 and 760.41 were amended to indicate afci protection is not permitted on Fire Alarm circuits. This does not include single-station smoke alarms installed in dwellings.
8. 210.52(C) ? This section revises the spacing requirements for receptacles at countertops and provides Figure 210.52 to help determine compliance.
9. 210.52(D) ? A new exception permits receptacles to be installed on the side or face of the basin cabinet in a bathroom similar to the exception for kitchen counter space receptacle requirements.
10. 215.2 ? A new sentence indicates the grounded conductor of a feeder circuit shall not be smaller than that required by 250.122 Size of the Equipment Grounding Conductors.

12. 240.5(B)(1) ? This section now indicates supply cords of listed appliance or portable lamps shall be considered protected when applied within the appliance or portable lamp listing.
13. 240.24(A) ? This new section provides accessibility requirements and height restrictions to overcurrent devices similar to that in Section 404.8(A).
14. 250.4(A)(5) ? The last sentence of this section has been rewritten to clearly indicate the Earth is not to be considered as an effective ground-fault current path.
15. 250.30 ? This section covering the grounding of separately derived alternating current systems has been completely rewritten and renumbered.
16. 250.50 ? The term ?available? has been change to ?present? to indicate all electrodes must be bonded together to form the grounding electrode system. The intent of this section did not change.
17. 250.119 ? The last sentence of this section now indicates insulated or covered conductors with colors or markings as permitted by this section shall not be used for ungrounded or grounded circuit conductors. This also indicates the colors used to identify equipment grounding conductors are permitted for identification of grounding electrode conductors.
18. 250.146(A) ? This section has added the requirement that at least one of the insulating (retaining) washers shall be removed from the receptacle to comply with the rest of the provisions of this section.
19. 310.10 ? A new FPN No. 2 was added to indicate conductors installed in conduit exposed to direct sunlight in close proximity to rooftops have special ambient temperature considerations.
20. 314.16(B)(1) ? A new requirement in this section requires a looped, unbroken conductor not less than twice the minimum length required for free conductors in 300.14 shall be counted twice when calculating box fill.
21. 320.10, 328.10, 330.10, and 332.10 - A FPN was added to the end of this section indicating the ?Uses Permitted? is not an all-inclusive list.
22. 320.30 and 330.30 ? These sections have been revised to provide separate provisions for the securing and supporting of type AC and type MC wiring methods.
