I am considering purchasing the NEC 2011 Handbook PDF file from the NFPA.

I have a couple of questions and concerns about the PDF file.
I am sure it is a secure file tied to the computer that it was downloaded too.

Is that true? What if I change computers or if mine crashes?
Can you copy from it and paste into other programs?
Can you add comments or notes or highlight using the full version of Acrobat?
Is it compatible with the newest version of Acrobat?
Can you use it on a computer and a smartphone or only one of them?

I know, lots of questions but if anyone else has this file the info is appreciated.

I just bought the book, I haven't downlloaded it yet, but I'm thinking that I will throw it on to a memory stick.

People where having problem with Adobe 10, I don't know if that's been resolved!
One can fine and drop back down to another Adobe version.

From the flier is says "This Feature rich format supercharges Code Referencing By enabling you to search, print, copy and paste, bookmark, and add notes at the touch of a key"

I beleive from reading in the fine print they use your MAC Address (not exactly said) of the computer you download it to. So I don't know about how they or you will handle that.

Everything that can get on the internet has a MAC address.
