"In accordance with the exception in Section 680.26(C), the equipotential bonding grid covering the entire contour of the pool is not required for vinyl lined polymer wall, fiberglass composite or other pools constructed of non-conductive materials." (Source: https://www.dom.com/about/safety/pdf/pool_equi_bond.pdf)

Is this correct in the 2014 NEC? I have an above ground pool and I want to make sure I don't have to build a equipotential bonding grid for it. I will ground the one metal panel in the side to the motor, but I didn't know if I am suppose to install a grid for a vinyl lined above ground pool.

Thanks is advance for your input.

The vinyl pool has nothing to do with the equipotential bonding . The bonding is dug into the ground around the perimeter of the tub between 18 and 24 inches from the inside wall of the pool and between 4-6" deep. This gets bonded to the pool motor
