NEC 2014 Garage Door Openers

I noticed that NEC 2014 requires GFCI protection on all receptacles in the garage. Is there anyway to avoid this for the garage door opener because of its accessibility? Will a dedicated circuit allow me to get away with not having GFCI protection?

Any input will be great.

Thanks,

There are no exceptions. What we do is use a dead front gfci on the wall of the garage and then feed thru to the open where you only need a standard receptacle.
