I have high rise building where the ATS, emergency panelboards are in sprinklered room.

I also have emergency generator docking station in loading area which is also sprinklered

Sure both spaces above are sprinklered However, it is not clear from the plans provided if the feeder circuit equipment would be protected by the sprinkler or not. Meaning not sure if sprinkler reaches the equipment in above rooms.

Is the intent of the NEC 2017 section 700.10(D)(2) to say that emergency equipment are protected by the sprinkler or to say space should be sprinklered but it does Not matter if feeder circuit equipment in that space are protected from sprinklers?

If the "space" (ie: room) is sprinkled you are safe to assume the feeders are protected.

The way I read it NEC 2017 Section 700.10(d)(2) is about equipment while NEC 2017 Section 700.10(d)(1) is about feeder wiring themself. Question is about the equipment emergency panelboards, emergency ATS, docking station emergency
