Is there anything in the NEC that prevents me from using a 208 volt circuit (2 hots + ground) to feed multiple 208 volt twist lock devices located on separate floors in a office building (NYC). The overall load is less than the rating of the circuit.

I am guessing a heavy duty floor polishing or carpet cleaning machine. Maybe even one designed for 240 but usable on 208?There might be an issue with feeding the utilization device from a receptacle though. There are not a lot of 208V single phase loads in a typical building that would be allowed to be fed this way.
