I have seen local stores such as walmart add several track lighting to their exizting lighting years after opening.

If nec requires 150 VA per every 2 feet of track lighting or fraction thereof to be added to the [service or feeders load demand], then how are they doing this without having construction to increase service or feeder conductor ampacity size?

Are these business just adding these loads without knowledge of exceeding the original service or feeder demand load without electrical inspection

Or were these services or feeders build oversized to cover ampacity beyond the original calculated load?

Because the Article 220 load calculations are very conservative and often result in a service that is 50% larger than what is needed for the real world loads.
