Hey guys, I have a building department rejecting some plans because of this:

The service disconnects for the PV system (60A/40A) to rate for thew prevailing condition (service rate) 230.70(C). Please reach out to Building department or have your electrical engineer provide a response letter

We are using planning on using the Eaton DG222NGB disconnect, which is a super common ACD. I cant find any documentation from Eaton that says their ACD is service rated, and I dont know what to do about it.

The disconnect label will say 'suitable for use as service equipment' somewhere if it's suitable.
I'm pretty sure that you are correct that the DG222NGB has that on the label, but if you can't find that documentation online you probably have to either ask Eaton or get a picture of the label on the actual disconnect.
It seems they are asking because you have neither a model number nor a note on the drawing stating that the disconnect will be 'suitable for use as service equipment'.
